Harold Hunter by Matthew Salacuse
Bookmark and Share

In the mid-90s there were rumors abound about the release of Kids; a groundbreaking film documenting teens growing up in New York City.Salacuse learning that Harold Hunter was in the film sought him out for his portfolio.

After the shoot the story goes that Hunter asked Salacuse for a copy of the photograph. After painstakingly hand-developing one and presenting it to Hunter he sincerely replied "Thank you. This is the best picture anyone has every taken of me" then proceeded to fold it four, stuff it in his back pocket, and skate away.

In Hideout's opinion the story is equally as classic as the photograph.
