Who is Hideout Gallery?
The Hideout Gallery was founded by self-professed pop culture collector Adam Salacuse. After years of collecting contemporary culture portraits by his brother Matthew Salacuse, Shepard Fairey and many other notable artists he had an epiphany that the creation of gallery solely focused on exceptional portraiture would be welcomed by both artists and collectors. Hideout Gallery, however, at its core it is made up of contemporary artists and collectors as without involvement of either Hideout Gallery wouldn't exist.
The majority of the proceeds from each art piece go directly to the artist who created the image.
Where do these artworks come from?
They are acquired directly from the artists. We take great strides to establish collaborative relationships with artists to bring coveted and expressive contemporary portraits to the public. Hideout Gallery guarantees authenticity of all items sold as we only acquire works directly from the artist.
Who creates the prints and frames the art?
Artists control the printing and signing of their works. Hideout Gallery offerings framing at an additional cost.
Why does is take 3-4 weeks to receive an order?
Art pieces are hand-crafted, signed and numbered by the artist then picked up by Hideout Gallery and carefully prepared for shipment which one reason why there is lengthy lead-time.
Is it possible to rush ship an order?
This is sometimes possible to cut the lead-time down to 2-weeks, but rush fees do apply. Please contact Hideout Gallery with your specific needs.
How do you select artists, is there a way to apply?
We basically scour the world seeking artists with unique ideas and perspectives on portraiture that culturally resonate with us. In turn, there is no official submission process, but if you want to introduce yourself or send us a tip about an artist with a distinctive voice feel free to contact us at info@hideoutgallery.com
How is edition size established?
Edition size is decided by the artist, however, Hideout Gallery recommends artists issue an specific image in at least two sizes to accommodate collector desires.
How are signature details established?
Signature style and placement are decided by the artists that created the piece.
Can I request a specific edition number?
No you cannot request and receive a specific edition number, but you can inquire as to the current number of prints already sold to receive an idea of the edition range.
How is the art print size established, and how do you define print size?
Print size is established by the artists. Print size is defined by the size of the paper edge-to-edge (not the size of the image on the paper).
Are all items signed limited editions?
Yes, all items sold at Hideout Gallery are hand-signed and numbered by the artist.

What's up with your gallery events?
Throughout the year we periodically host pop-up gallery events. We do often offer exclusives and items at events not yet available online. If you sign up for the Hideout Gallery newsletter you'll be informed about all upcoming events.
How long will pieces last?
Most art works are on art archival paper which a remarkable stability (typically +75 years). All works of art may fade or shift over time if constantly exposed to direct sunlight or florescent light. For the protection of your art works Hideout Gallery utilizes UV glass when framing, but nonetheless suggest that you do not expose them to direct sunlight or under direct florescent lighting.
How should I frame them?
Hideout Gallery offers a framing service for all works sold by us at an additional charge, but if you want to have it custom framed yourself best to use 100% acid-free, archival mat non-buffered board by reputable manufacturers, plus avoid dry mounting the photographs as that would most likely ruin the signature and edition details that are ofen on the back of the art work.
Are shipments insured?
All purchases are insured for their full value and shipped via 2-Day FedEx with Direct Signature Required. Direct Signature Required means FedEx will obtain a signature from someone at the delivery address. If no one is at the address, FedEx will reattempt delivery. If you missed a delivery and a door tag is left the recipient may choose to pick up the package at the FedEx office location listed.
Is there sales tax?
City and state sales taxes are collected, except when shipped out of state of Massachusetts. The buyer assumes all responsible for all state taxes if applicable to the order.
What is your return and exchange policy?
All sales are final, no refunds accepted. However exchange requests are granted within 30 days from shipment in the case of a defective print. However, we require that customers notify Hideout Gallery (info@hideoutgallery.com) of any problems with merchandise within 48 hours of receipt. Art prints must be in their original packaging, in as-new condition with both the packing slip and the printed receipt.
What are your product availability and other terms?
Although availability may be indicated on the Site, we cannot guarantee art print availability. We reserve the right, without liability or prior notice, to revise, discontinue, or cease to make available any or all art prints or to cancel any order. From time to time there may be information on Hideout Gallery that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice (including after you have submitted your order). Any dispute arising from website use shall be resolved exclusively by the state and federal courts of the State of MA. As a user or member you agree to defend, indemnify and hold Hideout Gallery harmless from and against any and all claims, damages, costs and expenses, including attorneys' fees, arising from or related to your use of the Site.
Once I buy an image can I use the image for other purposes?
