Not sure how I missed the Brooklyn Museum announcement that they're organizing a exhibition on Rock & Roll photography; October 30, 2009–January 31, 2010.
Based on their description the exhibit acknowledges the creative and collaborative role photographers have played in the history of rock music. And, smartly, straying away from "surface and celebrity" of images, but on the creativity and conceptual art found in unique concert, behind the scenes, documentary and album art photographs.
